Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Issues (IJAIMI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and academic integrity in the publication process. All submissions undergo a rigorous single-blind peer review process, which ensures that the content is evaluated fairly and thoroughly.

Single-Blind Peer Review Process

In the single-blind review process, the reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, but the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. This method allows reviewers to provide an unbiased critique of the manuscript while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Aspects of the Single-Blind Review:

  1. Reviewer Selection: Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two experts in the field relevant to the submitted work.

  2. Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its relevance, significance, originality, soundness of methodology, clarity, and adherence to ethical guidelines.

  3. Feedback: Reviewers provide constructive feedback to help authors improve the quality of their work. They may recommend one of the following outcomes:

    • Acceptance
    • Acceptance with revisions
    • Rejection
  4. Confidentiality: Reviewers are expected to treat the manuscript as confidential and refrain from discussing or sharing the content with anyone outside the editorial team.

  5. Objective and Unbiased: The single-blind process ensures that reviewers can objectively assess the quality of the manuscript without bias, while allowing them to offer insights based on the known identity of the authors.

Timeline

We aim to provide timely reviews to all submitted manuscripts. The typical review process takes between 4 to 8 weeks from the date of submission, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of expert reviewers.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations. Authors are notified of the decision, along with the reviewers’ comments and suggestions for improving the manuscript if revisions are required.

By employing the single-blind peer review system, IJAIMI ensures the integrity, fairness, and quality of its published research.
