Retraction Policy
IJODAS follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling article retractions. A retraction may be issued under the following circumstances:

Significant errors that compromise the validity and integrity of the findings.
-
Unauthorized submission, particularly where co-authors are listed without their knowledge or consent.
Retraction Procedures:
-
The retraction process may be initiated by authors, editors, reviewers, or third parties who identify ethical or academic concerns.
-
The editorial team will conduct a thorough investigation, which may involve communication with all authors and relevant institutions.
-
If retraction is warranted, a formal retraction notice will be published in the journal and linked to the original article.
-
The original article will remain accessible for transparency purposes but will be clearly marked as Retracted across all platforms.
-
In cases where ethical breaches are severe, IJODAS reserves the right to remove the article entirely from public access.
-
The decision to retract is made solely by the editorial board, and authors will be notified of the outcome.
Post-Retraction Actions:
-
The journal may issue authorship corrections if some listed authors were not involved or did not consent to the publication.
-
The editorial office may decline further submissions from the responsible author(s) for a specified period.
-
If deemed appropriate, notifications may be sent to the author’s affiliated institution or the original source of plagiarized content.
IJODAS is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and ensuring that the research we publish adheres to the highest ethical standards.
Final Paper Preparation
Upon acceptance, authors must ensure their final manuscript is thoroughly proofread. LaTeX is preferred, and a Word (.docx) template is available. Titles and section headings must be carefully checked.
Peer Review Process
- Editors first review the submitted manuscript, called initial review by the editors. It will be desk evaluated whether the submitted manuscript is suitable for the Indonesian Journal of Data and Science based on focus and scope, methodological flaw, readability of the articles, and adhering to the submitted paper template.
- Furthermore, the manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers(Double-Blind Peer-Review).
- The anonymous reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses. Afterwards, the editorial team meeting suggested the final decision to the revised manuscript by authors.
- Finally, the Editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.
- The accepted manuscript then continued to the copyediting and layout editing process to prepare the camera-ready paper.
